Elections for VNA executive board members are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 23 at our general meeting.
According to our bylaws, the VNA board consists of four elected officers known as the executive committee: president, vice-president, treasurer, and secretary. Elected officers are expected to attend monthly board meetings before the general meeting. They supervise the affairs of the VNA, set meetings, make policy decisions, and perform other duties as specified in the bylaws.
The specific duties of each officer can be seen in more detail on our website.
The executive board is responsible for establishing committees to help conduct the association’s affairs. These committees include safety, development, entertainment, communications, membership, environment, and the 38th Street Task Force. Committee chairs are part of the board but are not elected.
