Proposed changes Jan. 19, 2026, to be voted upon at Jan. 28 general meeting

Section 5: Nominating Committee: The membership committee shall serve as a nominating committee and shall make a recommendation for a slate of elected officers before the annual meeting each year.

Section 5: Nominating Committee:
The Membership Committee shall serve as the Nominating Committee and shall make a recommendation for a slate of elected officers before the annual meeting each year. Any member wishing to run for an Executive Office must submit their candidacy to the Membership Committee no later than three (3) weeks prior to the General Meeting at which elections are held, typically the final meeting of the calendar year.

Article 9: Committees: The board of directors may establish committees to help conduct the affairs of the neighborhood association. The executive board shall appoint chairpersons to each committee. Committee chairs report to the vice president. Committee chairs are encouraged to attend board meetings and may vote on board issues. They are required to update the vice-president on ongoing committee activities upon the request of the vice president. They shall also adhere to the general duties of board chairpersons as developed and updated by the executive committee and follow the specific instructions outlined by the board for each committee chair. Special Committees may be created by the board to develop or carry out specific policies and decisions of the board, and to deal with specific matters and issues of concern and importance to the association. The board shall appoint persons to serve on special committees. These committees will be disbanded by action of the board.

Article 9: Committees
The Association may establish standing or ad hoc committees as necessary to support its mission and operations.

Each year, following the annual election, the newly elected Executive Board shall review the existing committee structure and determine which committees will be continued, modified, created, or discontinued for the upcoming year.

The Executive Board shall appoint the Chair of each committee and may, at its discretion, appoint additional members to serve on any committee. All committee chairs shall report to the Vice President. Committee chairs are encouraged to attend Board meetings and may vote on Board matters. They must provide updates on committee activities to the Vice President upon request. Committee chairs shall also follow the general duties for Board chairpersons as established by the Executive Committee, as well as any specific instructions issued by the Board for their respective committees.

The Board may establish Special Committees to develop or carry out specific policies, initiatives, or tasks important to the Association. Members of Special Committees shall be appointed by the Board. Special Committees shall be disbanded upon completion of their purpose or by action of the Board.
