Melrose Abbey Meeting on Special Use Permit

Melrose Abbey is the new name of the wedding event business at 3931 Washington, the former Broadway Baptist Church. The current owners got a special use permit from the city in 2022 to operate as a wedding and event venue with four on-site hotel rooms.  They are now applying for that special use permit to be renewed. The owners are required to have a public meeting to gather input. That meeting is scheduled for 5 p.m. on March 22 in person at the Plaza library or via zoom.

After the public meeting, the City Plan Commission will hold a hearing on the special use permit on April 2 and the Board of Zoning Adjustment will consider it on April 9. This letter contains the details.
