Food Waste Composting in Roanoke Park

You can now take food waste to the Roanoke Park Community Center and compost it for free. It is a new program called KC Can Compost. In addition to food waste, the site accepts Kleenex, paper towels, napkins with food waste on them, coffee eco-pods, chicken bones, etc.  You need to put it in biodegradable bags, which you can get online or from KC Can Compost.  You can drop the stuff off as often as you want.    You can also buy a container to collect food scraps at home.
