Elections for VNA executive board members are scheduled for 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 at our general meeting.

According to our bylaws, the VNA board consists for four elected officers known as the executive committee: president, vice-president, treasurer and secretary. Elected officers are expected to attend board meetings, held monthly in advance of the general meeting. They supervise the affairs of the VNA, set meetings, make policy decisions, and perform other duties as specified in the bylaws.

Specific duties of each officer can be seen in more detail on our website.

The executive board is responsible for establishing committees to help conduct the affairs of the association. These committees currently include safety, engagement, development, and the 38th and Washington Task Force. Committee chairs are part of the board, but are not elected.  The nominating committee has identified several people who would like to be considered for board positions. A final slate of officers has not been presented. If you would like to be considered for a board position or would like to suggest someone else, please contact Christy Gaddis of the nominating committee at [email protected] before 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11, when the board will be discussing the slate.
